  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon (or amaretto)
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour for Dutch crumble topping
  • ½ cup (107g) packed brown sugar for Dutch crumble topping
  • ¼ cup (24g) rolled oats for Dutch crumble topping
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon for Dutch crumble topping
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted for Dutch crumble topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare your pie crust and chill in the refrigerator.
  2. Sauté sliced apples in butter with sugars and spices until softened. Stir in bourbon and thicken with flour.
  3. Cool the apple filling for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F while making the crumble: combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and melted butter.
