  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (crushed)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean jelly jars and strawberries; remove stems from strawberries.
  2. Crush strawberries to your desired consistency and measure out 2 cups into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add 4 cups of sugar to the crushed strawberries, stirring well. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, mix pectin with 3/4 cup water and bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  5. Immediately add pectin mixture to the strawberry mixture and stir vigorously for about 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and thickens.
  6. Fill jars with the strawberry mix, leaving 1/2 inch at the top, cover, and let set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
