  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 45 jalapeños, chopped (seeds removed for milder heat)
  • 1/2 cup cooked, diced chicken (or preferred protein)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For Grilled Cheese Dippers: 4 slices of bread and 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and milk (or cream), stirring well and bringing to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Gradually add shredded cheeses while stirring constantly until melted and creamy.
