  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 12 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden; centers should remain soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheets before glazing with the maple glaze.
