  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 28 oz can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can pinto beans, rinsed and drained

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add diced onions and garlic; cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add ground turkey; cook until fully browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, tomato paste, salt, pepper, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and all beans. Mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
