  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced or paste)
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg (for dressing)
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (shaved)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 anchovy fillets
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp red apple vinegar
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: Mix marinade ingredients and coat chicken; let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Toast panko: Melt butter in a pan; add panko and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Blend dressing: Combine all dressing ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  4. Fry chicken: Heat canola oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry marinated chicken until golden brown (8–10 minutes).
  5. Assemble sandwich: Mix romaine with dressing and panko; spread additional dressing on croissant halves; layer with chicken and salad mixture before topping with the other half of the croissant.
