Ingredients for Banana Pudding:
4 ripe bananas, slices
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups whole milk
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions:
Prepare the Custard:
In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till the mixture thickness comes . boil, about 5-7 minutes.
Reduce heat and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Temper the Eggs:
In a small bowl, beat the eggs.
whisk it slowly about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture into the beaten eggs.
Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining milk mixture, stirring constantly.
Finish the Custard:
Return the saucepan to the heat and cook for an additional 2 minutes
Stirring constantly, until thickness comes.
Now, Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
Assemble the Pudding:
In a baking dish or individual serving bowls, layer the vanilla wafers and sliced bananas.
Pour the custard over the banana and wafer layers, spreading it evenly.
Chill and Serve:
Cover the pudding with plastic wrap, ensuring it touches the surface of the custard to prevent a skin from forming.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with additional banana slices.
